We are glad to start welcoming our treasured patient family back for continuing care. I believe most of you are aware of the general measures recommended by the new mandates for public interaction. However, we in dentistry must operate under stricter measures for the foreseeable future.
We would like to prevue how things going forward will look. We will be instituting comprehensive screening measures both before appointing and again upon arrival for care. During screening, together, we will be considering your overall health status and measuring against your anticipated dental needs to determine if reward outweighs any additional risk. We will be operating with additional patient and staff protection measures. These measures will significantly alter our ability to flow, thus reducing the number of patients we can interact with each day. We will do our best to keep time available for your emergency needs. Ideally, all who come for care are urged to test for COVID-19 within 48 hours of their appointment.
For those who are needing more complex treatments (large fillings, multiple fillings, crowns etc.) we STRONGLY encourage pre-procedural COVID-19 testing be obtained within 48 hours of the anticipated appointment. As of this time, Providence has been making tests available without charge. This measure helps us do our part to reduce the chance of our participating in the spread of this disease. We are required to keep a log of people who come through our facility in an effort to trace any contacts, should someone unknowingly be a carrier of the virus. If appropriate PPE becomes unavailable, we may have to delay some of our complex or staged treatments until the safety gear can be obtained. As production of surgical air purifiers catch up to demand, we look forward to additional protections for all in our workspace. We appreciate your patience as we adapt to these new circumstances. If you have more questions, please contact us, and we will answer them or direct you to those who can.
Stay safe and healthy,
